This page explains what information Car Collector Studio collects, why, and how it is stored and protected. It is written in plain language and describes the product as it actually works.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and the credentials needed to authenticate you (handled through our authentication provider, Supabase Auth). If you sign up for a paid plan, our payment processor, Stripe, collects and stores your payment details directly — we do not receive or store your full card number.
Information you add about your vehicles — make, model, variant, year, mileage, registration details, condition, purchase price, current estimated value, service history, insurance and road tax details, and running expenses. This information is entered by you and is used to power the record-keeping, valuation and reporting features of the product.
Titles, certificates, mechanical inspection reports, photographs and similar files you upload to a vehicle's document vault. These are stored so you can retrieve them later and, where you choose to, include them in a vehicle passport you generate and share yourself.
Standard technical information generated by using a web application — such as pages visited and general interaction events used to understand how the product is used and to improve it. We do not track your vehicle's VIN, registration number, uploaded document contents, or private collection values as part of our analytics — see Security & Privacy for more on how analytics is scoped.
Where you invite another person to your collection (an estate manager, mechanic or advisor, for example), we collect their email address so they can be added as a team member with the role — owner, admin, editor or viewer — you assign them, scoped to the vehicles you choose.
We use the information above to: operate your account and the vehicles, documents and records within it; calculate Collector Score and estimated market values against our comparable-sales dataset; process payments and manage your subscription; respond to support requests; and maintain the security and integrity of the platform, including an internal audit log of administrative actions taken on your account (see Security & Privacy).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your private vehicle or collection data to train public models or to populate the market data shown to other users.
We rely on a small number of specialist providers to operate the product, and we share only what each one needs to do its job:
We do not share your vehicle, document or collection data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We retain your account and collection data for as long as your account remains active, so the product continues to work as expected. If you delete your account, we work to remove your personal data within a reasonable period, other than information we are required to retain for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes (for example, billing records).
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Depending on where you are located, you may also have rights to access, correct, export or restrict the use of your personal information; contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request within a reasonable time.
We use a limited set of cookies and similar technologies necessary to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. Where we use analytics tooling to understand product usage (see Security & Privacy and our About page), we aim to configure it conservatively and to respect applicable cookie-consent requirements for your region.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information, including role-gated administrative access, server-side handling of privileged credentials, and an audit trail of administrative actions. Full detail is on our Security & Privacy page. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
Our infrastructure providers may process and store data in multiple regions as part of their normal operation. Where this applies to your data, we rely on the safeguards those providers make available as part of their own compliance programmes.
We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to support@carcollectorstudio.com.
